Un travail d’Hercule

Le travail d’Hercule décrit une tâche fastidieuse réclamant des efforts surhumains : The work of Hercules describes a tedious task demanding superhuman efforts.

“Comment faire pour ne rien faire ? Je ne sais rien de plus difficile. C’est un travail d’Hercule, un travail de tous les instants : How does one set about doing nothing? I know nothing that is more difficult. It’s a work of Hercules, a work about every instant (of your time)”

Paul Valery (1871 -1945).
