The Leap<\/span><\/p>\n

You find me watching a figure standing at the edge of a chasm. I think they’re wondering whether to attempt the leap across. It’s not an impossible leap, but neither is it an easy decision. It seems they don’t want to turn back; that whatever they have left behind they have left behind for good. But then again, they are risking a lot by leaping forward. You can never be sure of the strength in your legs and the drop below is a cold and yawning deep. As I watch, I’m not sure which course of action they’ll choose.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the moment of conversion comes when the chasm between our actual selves and our desired selves is just so wide that we can no longer ignore it. And then we must leap – for what have we got to lose?<\/em><\/p>\n

Le grand saut<\/span><\/p>\n

Je suis en train d’observer une personne pench\u00e9e au bord d’un gouffre. J’ai l’impression qu’elle se demande si elle devrait essayer de sauter de l’autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 ou non. Le saut est faisible, mais la d\u00e9cision est difficile \u00e0 prendre. On dirait qu’elle ne veut pas rebrousser chemin; ce que cette personne a laiss\u00e9 derri\u00e8re elle, elle semble l’avoir laiss\u00e9 pour de bon. Elle court toujours un grand risque en essayant de sauter. Comment peut-elle \u00eatre s\u00fbre que ses jambes seront assez fortes, sans compter que le gouffre est profond et glacial. J’observe et j’ignore quelle d\u00e9cision cette personne prendra.<\/p>\n

Peut-\u00eatre que le d\u00e9clic se fait lorsque le gouffre entre le moi r\u00e9el le moi d\u00e9sir\u00e9 devient trop grand pour \u00eatre ignore. C’est alors que nous devons sauter. Qu’avons-nous alors \u00e0 perdre\u00a0 ?<\/em><\/p>\n
