Qui n&#8217;aurait pas aim\u00e9 y passer une heure ou deux\u00a0quand le\u00a0soleil\u00a0brille? C&#8217;\u00e9tait un endroit si attrayant que, rapidement, des petits caf\u00e9s et une entreprise de location de canots sont apparus. On pouvait y trouver des machines distributrices pour s&#8217;acheter des boissons et des sucreries.<br \/>\nConstatant cela, les autorit\u00e9s locales ont alors enfil\u00e9 leur costume de planificateurs. Pour prot\u00e9ger l&#8217;endroit, ils ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de constuire un sanctuaire pour les canards et d&#8217;entourer l&#8217;\u00e9tang d&#8217;un rebord en ciment. Plus astucieux encore, ils ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de boucher les endroits par o\u00f9 l&#8217;eau entrait et sortait de l&#8217;\u00e9tang afin de pr\u00e9venir les fuites. Who wouldn&#8217;t want to spend an hour or two there when the sun was out? Indeed, it was such an attractive spot that soon tea shops and a boat-hire business appeared, with vending machines for drinks and sweets.<br \/>\nSeeing the beauty, the local council put on their planning hats.
