Les deux jeunes hommes étaient installés au bar et parlaient de leur enfance, plus particulièrement des punitions qu’ils avaient reçues.
“Ton père t’a-t-il donné des coups de canne ?” demanda le plus grand.
“Jamais,” repondit l’autre. “Mais il avait un gros livre sur la psychologie enfantine.”
“Ça devait être formidable !”
“Pas vraiment, car c’est avec ce livre qu’il me frappait.”

‘Punishing Times’  by Simon Parke

Two young men stood at the bar and talked about their childhoods. In particular, they discussed how they had been punished when young.
“Did your dad cane you?” asked the taller of the two.
“Never,” said the other. “He had this great big book on child psychology.
“Must have been great!”
“No, he used to hit me that instead.”
